Many teams would like to attach documents, photos or PDFs directly to forms. With the new upload field, this is now easy to do - centrally, securely and where the information belongs.
There will be a new "Upload" field in the Form Builder. This allows you to upload common file formats up to 5 MB per file - even several files at once.
What this is good for:
Storing relevant files directly with the data record (e.g. permits, photos, receipts).
Fewer media disruptions: No subsequent submission by e-mail, everything stays in one place.
Quick retrieval: Files are listed directly in the field - with creation date.
How to use it:
Add the "Upload" field in the form builder.
Upload files (multiple selection possible, only permitted formats).
Open files from the list:
PDFs/images are displayed in a practical preview window.
Open other formats in a new tab or download.
Delete files if required (with confirmation prompt).
What you should know:
Supported formats: Common Office/image/PDF formats plus txt, json, xml.
Max. Size per file: 5 MB.
Files are stored securely in your S3 storage area, structured per data record and field.
Files with identical names can be overwritten (accepted by the system).
Outlook:
The upload field significantly extends the flexibility of the variable fields and is a basis for further automation around documents. Your feedback helps us to set priorities for previews and special file types.
